Positive Alternatives-Wood County Group Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI has a position open for a Lead Resident Counselor. The Lead Resident Counselor assists with the case management and daily functioning of our eight-bed group home for the at-risk population. This person may assist with the case management of the residents by developing and implementing treatment plans, and serves as a contact for social workers, parents, and other treatment team members. This person also organizes and plans the house menu and groceries, as well as household supplies, and provides transportation to the resident’s appointments. Strong written and verbal communication skills, organization, and hard work are crucial to be successful in this position.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver’s license and a driving record free from violations. Applicants must also have 2 years of experience working with this population or an equivalent. A bachelor’s degree in a human services related field desired, but not required.

This position is full time 40 hours per week plus paid holidays off and earned personal time, and a monthly Tier II employee benefits, which includes an option to contribute to a retirement fund, heath insurance, dental insurance, and health flex spending. Starting pay for this position would be $14.00 per hour. A full time position would be mainly Mon-Fri daytime hours, however, evenings, overnights and weekends may be required depending on staffing availability.
