Positive Alternatives is now accepting resumes for a part-time Office Assistant position. This Office Assistant is responsible for maintaining professional reception and phone presentation for the agency, as well as assisting with clerical duties, light bookkeeping, and program support for all programs within Positive Alternatives, Inc. Responsibilities include general clerical duties such as public relations, copying, filing, inventory, and running errands; light bookkeeping such as assisting in accounts payable and receivable, petty cash, billing, payroll, and records management; and fleet management such as scheduling vehicle maintenance, tracking vehicle mileage, and reporting.

Ideal candidates will be positive, highly motivated, organized, committed, and willing to take on tasks and learn new things. To be successful, a candidate will need excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license as well as a driving record and criminal record free from major violations. Applicants must also have a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience working in an office setting is preferred by not required.

This is a part-time, hourly position, working about 25 hours a week, with a starting wage of $11.00 an hour with a possibility of regular annual increases. It is primarily daytime hours Monday through Friday, but some evening and weekend hours may be required. The position is located in our Menomonie office. This position does not receive benefits.
