The Case Manager has the primary responsibility of maintaining a safe, supervised, and structured living environment for our residents that is conducive to their well-being and promotes improved social, emotional, developmental, educational and physical functioning. The Case Manager must be able to assess the group dynamics; resident needs and staff skills and utilize that information when carrying out the essential duties and responsibilities of this position.
The ideal candidate should be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Qualifications required: The ideal candidate will have experience working with youth or relevant education, knowledge of adolescent development, reliable transportation, be at least 21 years of age, and have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and auto insurance. A B.A. or B.S. degree in a Human Services related area. One year of paraprofessional experience supervising a population in need of supervision. Experience in a residential setting is preferred. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
