Positive Alternatives and Workforce Resource both based in Menomonie were awarded grants from the Union Pacific Foundation during the foundation’s annual grant presentation breakfast held in Lilydale Minnesota on July 10th.  These organizations were two of 13 Wisconsin non-profits receiving awards. Positive Alternatives, Inc., is a private non-profit, community-based, multi-service organization providing group home, prevention and intervention services for families in West Central Wisconsin. Workforce Resource Inc. is a private non-profit organization providing employment and training services to adult and youth job seekers in Barron, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pepin, Pierce, Polk and St. Croix Counties.

 The Union Pacific Foundation is the primary philanthropic arm of Union Pacific Corporation. The Foundation has distributed funds since 1959 to qualified organizations in communities served by Union Pacific.
