Meet Anna
How long have you worked at Positive Alternatives?
January 2025
Where are you from?
Woodbury, Minnesota
What drew you to working in this field?
I've enjoyed previously working with younger populations as a gymnastics coach and a paraprofessional in grade schools. I also found it rewarding to intern for the Public Defender's Office, assisting underprivileged youths involved in legal cases. I was seeking a position that would allow me to apply my knowledge and skills learned through my psychology background. I found that Positive Alternatives' values really resonated with me, and I wanted to be a part of an agency dedicated to making a difference.
What is your educational background?
I will be graduating from the University of Wisconsin–Stout in May 2025 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, with a concentration in Forensic Psychology. What is your favorite thing about working with youth and families?
I love being able to form meaningful connections and make a positive impact in people's lives.
