Caylee Nichols
Program Director
Caylee joined the Positive Alternatives team in 2009 and is currently the Program Director at the Marathon County HG. She was in the last year of her undergrad program at UW-Stout when she first started at the organization. Having already known she wanted to work with at-risk youth throughout her college career, it wasn’t a surprise she quickly fell in love with the organization and its mission.
Caylee has a Bachelor's degree in Vocational Rehabilitation-Criminal Justice and a Master's degree in Non-profit Management. While working with Positive Alternatives, she earned her Supervisory Management certificate and has been the lead facilitator of Motivational Interviewing for the organization and its employees since 2018.
Most of Caylee’s experience comes from the time she has spent at PA, made possible by the opportunities the organization has presented her throughout. From direct care positions, like Resident Counselor and Lead, to Case Management and Program Director positions, she has experience in all positions within the group home. Her pre-PA experience includes interning and working for about 1.5-year as a direct care worker in an all-boys group home in Wausau, WI, serving a very similar population.
Positive Alternatives has been a significant part of Caylee's career in the human services related field. Not only has it provided her the opportunity to grow into the professional she is today, but it has also allowed her to serve as a positive support for many youth across the state of Wisconsin. Most recently, she has been able to have a positive impact on the youth that reside in her own hometown!
Caylee has two beautiful young children who continually amaze her with their ability to show others kindness and empathy. In her spare time, she’s on a bowling league and recently returned to dance at her childhood studio of over 20+ years. She also enjoys kayaking, as the water is a serene place for her to refocus.
