Cynthia Govin Welch
Board Member
Cynthia has been a part of the board of directors since 2011. She holds a Graduate Degree from UW-Stout in Technical and Career Education. Since retiring from UW-Eau Claire, she continues to substitute teach for Menomonie School District.
Cynthia is a strong advocate for youth, which drew her to serving for a non-profit. Her last nine years at UW-Eau Claire were spent working in Student Support Services, working with first generation and low-income students, and Services for Students with Disabilities.
What makes PA special to her is the way the organization offers support not only to students but also to parents.
She’s married and caregiver to Gary, mother of three adult sons, two daughters-in-law, and six grandchildren. She loves animals, having four horses, a crazy goat, a snake, and a tortoise of her own. She also loves to read and grow houseplants!
