Denise has been a part of the Positive Alternatives team since 2016, serving as our Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Her entry into the non-profit sector was driven by an appreciation for the culture that surrounds it.

Upon joining Positive Alternatives, Denise found a community of people who share her same dedication to making a difference and are who have proved to be what makes the organization so special to her.

Her educational background includes business training from a technical school and a diverse professional journey that spans computer programming, accounting, and commercial insurance. Denise became a Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) since becoming employed, in order to better cater to the unique financial needs of non-profit organizations like Positive Alternatives!

Beyond her professional life, Denise enjoys riding and showing horses.
