Paige Miller
Board Member
Dr. Paige Miller became a Positive Alternatives board member in the fall of 2024. She received her PhD in sociology from Louisiana State University in 2009 and has spent the last 15 years as a professor of sociology in the Sociology, Criminology and Anthropology Department at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. In addition to teaching, her primary research interests lie at the intersection of science and technology studies, international development, globalization, and gender. She is currently researching the gendered nature of scientific work in Kerala (India), Kenya, and Ghana.
Paige has supervised several student interns at Positive Alternatives. As an internship supervisor, she has indirectly witnessed the impact of the organization on the lives of young people through the stories of her students. She is thrilled to be a part of the board and looks forward to contributing, even if in a small way, to transforming the lives of those touched by Positive Alternatives.
